A salon diary that starts with the right service
How a hair salon can use Feny to make service selection, staff availability and visits with several services easier to manage.
Read articleAn illustrative studio story: set up individual training, publish small classes and give clients a clear route from choosing a session to managing their booking.
Imagine Mira, a personal trainer sharing a studio with a colleague. This is an illustrative example, not a customer testimonial. She offers individual sessions and a Friday mobility class. Between clients, she answers messages about times, prices and remaining places. A request for “Friday evening” might mean a private appointment or a place in the class, so even a simple booking needs several clarifications.
In Feny, Mira can describe individual training as a service with its own duration and price. Clients choose available appointment times. A group class works differently: Mira publishes a specific session with a trainer, location, date and capacity. Clients reserve a place in that session rather than an arbitrary time in the trainer’s day.
For the mobility group, Mira opens Appointments and creates a group session. She chooses weekly, every two weeks or monthly repetition, then sets an end date or a number of occurrences. Before publishing, she uses the date preview to review the generated sessions against holidays and the trainer’s availability. She adjusts the plan where needed and publishes the checked dates. Each session keeps its own capacity and participant list. On Friday, Mira opens that session to see who has booked and record attendance through the available participant actions. The list gives her a practical starting point for welcoming the group and checking who has arrived.
After work, Leo opens the studio link and compares the two formats. He chooses individual training, selects a trainer and an available time, and checks the location and price. He supplies his contact details through the offered account or guest flow, then reviews the final booking status. Selecting a time alone does not finish the booking. If he chooses Friday’s class instead, the system checks the published session’s remaining capacity and booking window.
Mira has one place to review appointments and class participants. Clients can read the essential details before interrupting a session with a question. Published capacity helps avoid accepting more class bookings than the configured limit. The management page shows permitted actions; individual rescheduling follows the studio’s rules. Email reminders can support this routine when delivery is configured and the applicable notification preferences allow them.
