A salon diary that starts with the right service
How a hair salon can use Feny to make service selection, staff availability and visits with several services easier to manage.
Read articleOrganize massage appointments around realistic durations, specialist availability and room preparation with a practical Feny setup.
A free hour in a specialist’s diary does not always mean the studio can welcome another visitor. The room may still be occupied, the previous appointment may need cleanup time, or the available specialist may not offer the requested service. A useful online schedule brings these constraints together. In Feny, that starts with clear services, accurate working hours and explicitly configured room resources.
This setup suits an independent massage practitioner with one room or a small wellness studio sharing rooms between specialists. Begin with services whose duration and price you can describe clearly. Explain what the appointment includes and how much time the visitor should allow for arrival. If a special request changes the practical arrangements, agree on it directly before the person books a standard session.
Imagine a studio with two specialists and one bookable massage room. This is a hypothetical example, not a customer case study. A session runs from 14:00 to 15:00, and the room has 15 minutes of cleanup configured afterwards. The other specialist is free at 15:00, but the room is not ready. With resource scheduling enabled and the room assigned to that service, availability considers the room’s reserved interval as well as the required specialist. These times simply illustrate the setup.
The visitor opens the booking page, chooses a service and selects a particular specialist or any available specialist. They then choose from the displayed times and review the location, duration and price. Guest booking allows email verification without creating an account, but verification alone does not reserve the slot. The visitor confirms the booking and completes any required online payment. The confirmation page provides the current status and the management actions available for that visit.
Record appointments agreed by phone in the same schedule and update staff absences. Review service lengths when sessions repeatedly need more time. This gives reception and specialists a shared reference for the day, while visitors can make a clearer choice without exchanging several messages just to establish the basics.
